CAIB 1 is the first course in a four-course program that leads to obtaining your Level 1 general insurance license. The CAIB curriculum covers personal lines (home and auto), commercial lines and brokerage management. Upon completion of the four courses and successful passing of the national exam, students working at an IBANS member brokerage are eligible to use the nationally recognized professional CAIB designation. Students working at non-IBANS member brokerages receive a certificate of completion but are not eligible to use the CAIB designation.
